Introducing Emma Ball…
We are delighted to be producing stationery items from Emma’s stylish and beautiful watercolour illustrations. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Nottingham’s Emma Ball first discovered her love for art having received a Spirograph for Christmas off her mother. Emma grew up with a passion for drawing and a love of painting with watercolours. Emma went on to graduate from Nottingham Trent University in 1993 with a degree in Graphic design. Emma then began her artistic career by stencilling plant pots in 1993, starting at small craft fairs with her father. Each pot was hand painted, then stencilled using Emma’s own hand cut designs.
The business ran for over seven years, and as Emma’s love for painting grew, she decided to start a new business venture with her artwork. Visiting many places in the UK, Emma created a range of cards based on British coastlines with her watercolour artwork. She continued to show her work at small craft shows, going onto trade shows and becoming a limited company in 2001. Since 2001, the company has grown but is still retaining its family qualities with Emma’s Mum and Dad still working with her. Emma continues to design all of the products and she also works with other illustrators whose work, although much different to her own, compliments the companies brand and styling. Many of the products are produced in the UK as Emma believes in supporting local companies
